Hey all! I would love some advice on fitting 3 car seats across in an x3. My daughter is 5 (and a tiny thing) and in a Britax Marathon 70. My son is 2.5 and we just swapped his marathon out for a Radian rxt. We were planning on swapping my daughter out to a Radian as well. Every one in my neighborhood it seems has now taken delivery of their model 3 has they are all over the place. It a cool car but it is by no mean a city car, which is what I need. We have a ICE Suv for long range, for now. I have taken delivery of the i3 REX and I can say for sure, I would have been frustrated but the Bev version. Consider it cheating but the Rex extender has proven so far to be worth the extra $$. I coded the car and I have driven with 174 miles of range, light foot and taking advantage of steep downhills with battery Soc hold. I can charge or I can pump, having flexibility is sure sweet.
And on a roadtrip? You have to go to the bathroom, maybe buy some more water, possibly a snack. If you have young kids it more involved, there are diaper changes involved, cleaning the car of trash and disposing of it properly, and so forth. My 2005 X3 has 3 pumps presumably, 1 for the windshield, 1 for back hatch and 1 for headlights. I read that the pump on the in baord side of tank is for windshield. I replaced that, and windshield spray still not working (other two function fine). I flipped the pumps, putting the new on the outboard side, still no windshield spray (while other two worked fine). I started to change out one on rear of tank, but it was different (bigger) than the two on the front (and the fluid line seemed to go off to the rear of car.
I drive a 325. we have 2 Britax Marathons installed so neither is in the center, DS (dear son) 1 who is 3 sits behind the driver (DH is 6 3 so that seat needs to be able to go all the way back) DS (dear son) 2 who is 11 mo sits behind the passenger RF. But we leave that seat pushed almost all the way up. I drive the car most of the time, and not many passengers, if we do all go out in it DH (dear husband) drives, but I am short 5 4 so can handle the passenger seat being pushed up.
