Answer:It sounds like it is not connected to the traveler/rope. The red rope hanging down. Or, the main drive gear is stripped out. See if you can move the door easily without pulling on the red rope. If you can move the door it’s not connected, if it doesn’t move then you have a stripped gear.

We ran out of time yesterday, so I going to take another crack at squaring the machine tonight. Regardless I probably compile a list of the issues we encountered and pass them along so they can be rectified (if not for me, for future customers). I probably include a few suggestions for the manuals as well which may help improve the assembly experience for future users. I absolutely don want to seem like I acting like I know your machine better than you do, but a few things seemed like they could be clearer. Maybe that just from an outside looking in perspective. For example, the final step in the linked assembly manual says to tighten the baseboard screws to the baseframe, but during initial assembly there is nothing suggesting to leave them loose in the first place. I should have known better from when I built my printer and it wasn a huge deal to loosen the screws for squaring, but it would have saved us some time from having to re do the squaring procedure after discovering in the very last step that we should have had the screws loose. I sure I also supposed to read the instructions through start to finish before beginning assembly but let be honest, most people don do that and might, at best, skim through looking to see if they need any specific tools not included.

PP (previous poster) are right though, you almost definitely have to move up to a 4 door for the post infant seat stage (which can come anywhere from 6 months to over a year depending on your babies’ height and weight. We tried some of the smallest convertible rear facing seats out and like PP (previous poster) said, it’s impossible to buckle them in there when you’re bending over. I do a lot of yoga, and I can’t imagine any way it will be possible. So, within a year, we’re probably in the market for a sedan with a big trunk, unless the minivan disease really takes hold.

We went through a million options, but basically I have a negative equity of $15000 that would have to be rolled into a new lease, making my payment on even a base model BMW higher than what I am paying now and for a 36mo term instead of my remaining 15mo lease. We looked at doing a buy back of my car instead of a lease trade in, but it was originally so overvalued in our deal that I am still negative the 15000. I listed it on lease trader but doubt that anyone will be interested in this car for that monthly price. They also mentioned financing my car to purchase, but three days after I got the car I was hit and it effected the alignment of the car so I am not interested in this option. We went to another BMW dealer different than the one that originally did the deal and they were shocked at what they had done to us. The only option seems to be for me to keep my car for a few more months and hope that BMW offers a pull ahead program again where they pay 3 4 of the remaining payments to get you into a new car. In regards to REx, everything will effect range: temperature, speed, number of passengers, interior cabin heat/cool, wind direction, most recent driving efficiency. in my early i3, I can depart for university (55 miles one way) with a full battery charge showing 95 miles (and the REx usually slightly under this for another 85 miles) and arrive at the destination with battery at 10 miles at >56 mph) when it starts at 6% charge. To solve for this, you have to slow down. On most interstates with posted 70 mph, its not safe to be driving 55. My approach has become to assume that the estimated battery mileage will drop considerably over the trip, by 50%, and so the best plan is to finder a public charger at the turn around point. You can run the REx through its 2 gals, refuel and get another 30 miles, but again this needs to be at much less than 70 mph. When you get home, the REx will be screaming at you, hot, fans blowing.

In many ways, it feels like a prototype. If you more like a pioneer, you love this. However that being said, I would recommend buying used with a decent amount of original warranty miles remaining. I don believe my trusty independent BMW shop is able to service so you going to be stuck with the dealer rates and attitudes.
